Do you swear? "no"

What would happen if you said "No" when you are sworn in at court. You know: "do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help you God?" "No"
What would they do to you for that?

Well, after going to court and being found guilty of speeding, I decided that it would be a good time to ask this question.  It turns out that if you do this they will hold you in the contempt of court which means that you are disrespecting the judge and making a fool of the case. Then you go to jail and do not like $200 dollars.  I learned from experience, do not ask judge's questions when in a hearing because it results in the same thing!!  I did get my own shower though :)
